I love how Dean’s like

  • no angels are junkless lol no junkless
  • angels don’t have the equipment to feel nope
  • because if they do it breaks them

Does it make you feel better to say those things Dean? I think Dean uses de-humanization to justify a lot of things, like killing Amy or being mean to Meg and Ruby about being a demon. He uses it as an insult and a way to distance himself from things that make him uncomfortable. Being brought up in a world of black and white, grey areas really scare him. I don’t know if he’ll ever be able to accept that an angel went through all that for him.

Because the sad truth of it is, he still doesn’t believe he’s worth it.

"What’s made these characters likable is that they are human. Sam had his issues with demon blood and whatnot, but the story is about two human beings, NOT about an angel and a demon chick. They come and go, but the audience can’t relate unless it’s about human condition and human emotions and the way nature and nurture affect you."

Jared Padalecki (x)

I agree with you Jared, but I’m one of those people who relate to the non-human characters too, because they have human characteristics brought out of them by the human characters. Which makes the human characters all that much more amazing, as well as the non-human ones. I will always love that dynamic.
