Let’s break it down from the Sheriff’s point of view.

From the very beginning, we as the audience are introduced to PLOT POINTS via Stiles… aka “Let’s go in the woods to find a body Scott!!!1!” So guess who the Sheriff finds in the woods on the night they are trying to find a dead body?

And Stiles is also a part of digging up said body (in the middle of the night tresspassing on Hale land with seemingly no evidence beforehand) and accusing someone else of killing the victim

and also is seen talking to the man he accused of murder (who is cuffed in the back of a cop car) by the Sheriff

Stiles also shows an increasingly active interest in the Hale house fire, enough to steal (temporarily misappropriate) confidential police records and also ply his father for information using alcohol

He’s trapped in a school “with a murderer” and his friends and he refuses to call the Sheriff immediately. A janitor dies on sight and Stiles’s friends look like they’ve all seen some sort of ghost. They blame Derek Hale, and his car is on sight, but something doesn’t sit right with this situation.

A girl is brought into the emergency room who has been attacked at the school during the dance, and the Sheriff later finds out that his son is her date… and he’s nowhere to be found.

Until he arrives at the hospital, wild-eyed and out of breath. Sweating and looking like he knows what happened.

And then he admits that he knows Derek Hale, person of interest, a little more than previously implied.

Then he disappears for the night and there’s a dead body in the Hale house in the morning. The body of the woman who almost wiped out the entire Hale family.

When Lydia runs away, they don’t find her for three days. And when they do, Stiles is there. He’s also the first to see her.

He’s also caught sneaking up on Kate Argent’s funeral.

Stiles is found standing over the body of an officer in the police station, with a broken-into cell and a missing prisoner. He points and blames the false cop of course… but why would Stiles have been there at all?

And then Stiles is an active part of a crime scene, where someone was killed. Stiles  says he was paralyzed and couldn’t have saved the guy… he only barely was able to call 911.

And then Stiles turns up at a club where a dozen of the kids end up getting paralyzed in the exact same way.

Not 24 hours later, Stiles steals a police transport van and participates in harassing (kidnapping) Jackson and faking texts to Jackson’s parents to make it look like he’s okay. He’s given a restraining order and the Sheriff’s job is teetering on the edge because his kid is getting into so much shit in such an escalated time period.

Stiles shows even more interest in solving the latest murders.

And it costs the Sheriff his job.

And then there’s the MASSIVE clusterfuck at the station where the Sheriff is persuaded by Scott and Stiles to look into Matt being the murderer and he gets cuffed by a kid and knocked out and so much crazy and so much death happens

Matt is later found to have ironically been drowned during the time the Sheriff had been knocked out, and the Sheriff gets his job back the next day.

AND THEN STILES FUCKING DISAPPEARS FOR A NIGHT

SO BASICALLY I THINK IT WOULD BE COOL IF STILES WENT DARKSIDE

OR AT LEAST IF THE SHERIFF WAS THINKING HE DID

BECAUSE IF TWO TIMES IS A COINCIDENCE

AND THREE TIMES IS A PATTERN

WHAT DOES THIS EVEN FUCKING MEAN
